North Wales

This section covers Bangor and across to the Dee Estuary.

The fishing is pretty much the same across the entire section, stones or sandy beaches bar the tidal pull of the Dee and Menai. There is little in the way of features and almost no access to deep water close in. The only deeper water access venues are via Llandudno pier and a few fishing marks off the Great Orme. This gives access to Pollock, Wrasse and minis etc

The beach’s fish well on their day, species wise is it all pretty much the same dependant on the season. The Talacre to Ryhl section can fish well for smoothhounds at low tide during the summer months. Peeler crab, failing that squid will help get them out and onto the beach.
