Wern Caravan and Camping park, Nefyn

The closest campsite to Nefyn beach is Wern Caravan and Camping Park, Nefyn, moreover it even has its own path down to the beach through the caravan park.

Perfect for late night fishing sessions. If it is fishing you are after you can camp close to the road, there are hardly any car movements at night. Shortens the walk to the beach, not that its far. If you go outside of school holidays etc you can get the place almost to yourself. During school holidays you have to call in advance as it is a busy site at times. However there is usually room for more tents on the top field, it just makes the walk a little longer.

It cost £8 per tent and £2 for electricity last time I visited, cheapest around but has better facilities than other small local sites.
There are toilets and showers available to use on site, some of the best I have come across too, 20p a min for hot showers.

One of the best aspects of the site is its location. You can access most of the Llyn Peninsula in around 25 minutes from here.

There is a little Cafe on site that is open at the weekends so you can fill your faces there. Honestly the food is fantastic, to the point that they now cook large batches for delivery! Great to grab a brew and a bacon butty in the morning. The owners work in the cafe too, they are some of the nicest people I have met.

I personally added Wern camping and caravan park as a review-able business to google maps, its been given great reviews since. Well worth checking out if you are looking to stay in the area.

This evening picture below is taken at the rear of the campsite, it looks looks down onto the coast. Morfa Nefyn is visible in the distance.

The image is a picture of the campsite during the evening time, looking out over the campsite you can see the sea in the distance as well as Morfa Nefyn

To the rear is the Wales coastal path which you can access easily. There is also a derelict mine building to explore in the woods to the rear.

If you are feeling more adventurous there is a path up to the mine, very step drop on the western side.

Great place to stay in a central location giving good access to the Llyn Peninsula. Great food, great hosts and top notch facilities. Give it a try, you will love it.
